[jules' pics] Follow the Hat

Follow the hat!
Shinjuku Station, one of the busiest in the world. It is on the West side of Tokyo so is the gateway to everywhere.

I didn't even notice the title, but it was obvious who the bloke in the hat was. And he's taller than everyone else.

Reminds me of one of those adventure books for children I read back in the late 80's, the one where some boy and his uncle travel around the world and they always have to get home before the boys parents do. At one point they are being chased by baddies in Tokyo, and it takes the uncle a few minutes to realise he's too tall and they can see him over the crowd.

It's a weird feeling, although James must be quite used to it by now. I recall experiencing it once in the Tokyo airport, hundreds of people in view and not one within ~6" of my height.

Eli, as a Dutchman I was under the impression you were one of the big blokes in the climate blogosphere but apparently you are well below my stature. Rather disappointing considering I don't even blog.

Ah!
"Race against time".
Sheesh, I bought four of them soon after they first came out. But I was a child at the time.
